The internet has brought unimaginable connectivity to the modern world – including access to whole universes of mankind’s knowledge, opinion and behavior, both moral and immoral. Some of this content is wonderfully edifying, some neutral, and some downright harmful. Among others, Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox communities in Israel have been greatly alarmed by some of the content anyone with an internet connection can access at the click of a button.
Most Israeli children have a smartphone with full internet access by the time they finish elementary school. In the age of Corona, school teachers consider it vital to maintain contact with their middle school and high school pupils via internet communication.
