Netanyahu Offers to School UN on Jerusalem’s History

Israeli leader shocked and dismayed at UN’s failure to acknowledge Jewish history in Jerusalem

By |

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has invited all United Nations staff members to a seminar on Jewish history, particular in Jerusalem and atop the Temple Mount.

The invitation, which appears to be genuine, came after the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) last month issued a resolution slamming Israel’s presence on the Temple Mount and totally disregarding all Jewish ties to the holy site.

“I was shocked to hear that UNESCO adopted a decision denying any Jewish connection to the Temple Mount, our holiest site,” read a statement issued by Netanyahu.

“It is hard to believe that anyone, let alone an organization tasked with preserving history, could deny this link, which spans thousands of years,” the prime minister continued.

No details were released as to when such a seminar would be held, assuming any UN staff would even show up, but Israeli officials hinted it could be as early as next week.
