October 7 has changed the people of Israel. We live in a different reality. In a new world. On that fateful morning, we awoke to what seemed a terrible dream. But it was no nightmare. It was real. Families torn apart; communities destroyed. Innocent women, children and elderly people murdered, tortured, burned and taken captive. Every one of us in Israel knows someone who was injured, killed or taken. We are all in trauma. Our daily thoughts and prayers are with all those in Israel who have been directly affected and fear for their freedom and their lives.
