After the re-election of Donald Trump, the Palestinians are less euphoric than the Israelis, to say the least.

Official Palestinian voices initially reacted cautiously to Donald Trump’s election victory. But the disappointment from Palestinian politicians and their media was evident. What could they say? The old ally of their arch-enemy Benjamin Netanyahu had regained the White House, and he is now assembling a political dream team for Israel. The future US ambassador to Jerusalem is a devout Baptist pastor who envisions a biblical “Greater Israel” on the world map, leaving no room for Palestine. For Mike Huckabee, the biblical heartland of Judea and Samaria is a divine inheritance for the Jewish people. Period. For the Palestinians, it is more of a nightmare. Israel is euphoric – the Palestinians are not.

The President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, issued a statement congratulating Trump on his victory and wishing him success. He expressed his eagerness to work with Trump to promote peace and security in the region. Abbas concluded by saying, “We remain committed to peace and are confident that the United States under your leadership will support the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people.”...

    “the Palestinians genuinely fear that Judea and Samaria might be annexed by Israel with American support.” It is Israeli land, the so called Palestinians history only goes back to 1964 where it started in the Kremlin in Moscow, not Israel.
