MembersTachles with Aviel – When trust is lacking

What happens when the people lose trust in their leaders? Like Korah and his clan did with Moses, or those who today find fault with Bibi.

The post by an Israeli reservist, Bar Sadeh, which my daughter forwarded, deeply moved me. It is one of many posts that have gone viral in Israeli networks and media in recent weeks and months. Soldiers speak from the depths of their hearts. Young people who have been fighting in Gaza for months and are ready to sacrifice their lives for their people. People who have already lost a lot but do not want to give up. But what hurts them the most is the home front – the people and their leaders. Israel is at war, and the people, the media, and the politicians are arguing while the soldiers defend the biblical homeland. Honestly, it is simply unbelievable. Among friends, we often talk about this situation and the distress we are all getting into again. How is it possible that we cannot pull together in the midst of war and set aside our protests and disagreements? Perhaps for the same reason that in the history of Korah against Moses and Aaron, everyone among the people is holy.
