Israel Today readers have proven, especially in times of crisis, that they gladly give where it is needed.
In the last few months, we have received many donations from you to help Israeli children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical conditions. The children of ALEH Israel thank you!
Your donations are renovating their living facilities. The ALEH Jerusalem branch was opened 22 years ago and has since doubled its living capacity after beginning with a two-story house and 35 residents. Today, the 7-story center includes a flourishing special-needs school, a rehabilitation day-care center, a child development center and a hydrotherapy pool.
The focus of ALEH-Jerusalem is optimal care on-site as well as assisting families whose children are outpatients living at home, to provide the best possible environment for them all.
In order to best serve the children, the Center maintains committed staff and quality infrastructure for optimal living conditions of the residents. Therefore, after 22 years of round-the-clock operation, it was time to overhaul the living areas.
The renovation is now in full swing and aims to improve the quality of life of the residents, maximize privacy and simply provide them with a comfortable and homey living space.
The bathrooms have already been renovated. Now it is the turn of the residents’ rooms. They will be equipped with new closets and new, comfortable, handicapped-accessible beds.
The furnishing costs are not yet completely covered, and therefore we would like to ask you to continue supporting ALEH’s renovation project so that the children can soon move into their renovated rooms.
