MembersThe antidote to antisemitism

The purpose of the Jewish people is to be a light unto the nations, and the Torah is our guiding document; unfortunately, too many Jews aren’t familiar with its teachings.

(JNS) It’s time to stop tiptoeing around. We might have boots on the ground in Gaza, but years of military action have resulted in thousands of our people dead. And after this current war, where will we be? Will using the same ideology and tactics lead us to a different crossroads 10 years from now? Five years? One year? Next month? The answer is a resounding “No.”

The main strategy of hasbara, advocacy, that Jews in the Diaspora and Israel have used to win over our antisemitic fellow citizens of the world, and those who are not quite there yet, has proven to be completely ineffective. Why? I don’t know about you, but does boasting about how great we are because of our many accomplishments relative to our numbers resonate, attract or convince anyone to stop hating us? Or does it, maybe, even increase negative feelings toward us, either out of jealousy or by being braggadocious?

If someone repeatedly leads the same in-your-face campaign to convince you to like him by spouting his many attributes, awards, achievements...

  1. G. Ian Goodson says:

Yeheshuah Ha Moshiach. You will find Him in the Torah. He is the Jew who is the Light of the World. The Church needs to rediscover Him and its proper relationship with Israel.

  2. Susan says:

The longer I study Scripture the more I realize how very circular it is. Torah points us to Yeshua, who in turn, points us to Torah. The Brit Hadashah says pointedly that the Jews have the advantage in every way because of Torah.

  3. Steven Feltovich says:

    The battle is God’s!
“Total Victory” is only possible with God’s intervention.
King David in Psalm 108 prays for God’s help:
13 Give us help against the adversary, for man’s salvation is futile.
14 With God we shall gather strength and he will trample our adversaries.
People fail to believe that Israel is engaged in a war of spirits: good and evil. A war of spirits cannot be won by physical or technological superiority.
It has always taken the power of God, who made the heavens and the earth to bring “total victory” and deliverance.
The Bible is filled with these EXACT same historical stories pertaining to the enemies of Israel.
The history recorded serves as an example of God’s wisdom, security, and continued covenant for Israel’s existence.
Israel has to be willing to trust in God [Alone] – because there is NO other way when it’s surrounded by evil enemies.
The apostle Paul so accurately wrote what we face here on earth:
    Ephesians 6
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The answer is found in God’s unchanging requirements, King David noted them Psalms many times: a man who FEARS the Lord.
In those who fear God, and keep his commandments.
David had a repentant heart, one of coming clean, and being fully committed to God’s requirements.
And then the people will be mighty in the land, a generation of upright ones, which shall be blessed.
God will then pour out a blessing that Israel cannot contain, when the people fear him enough to do what he commands.
It’s up to us to choose the good of God’s spiritual blessings, when we humble ourselves to serve him in duty and honor.
Because he is God Almighty, the creator of heaven and earth, forever without end!
