Is Israel really committing war crimes against the Palestinians? Actually, the West might be in violation of the Geneva Conventions in this regard.

It doesn’t take long once Israel starts defending itself for the topic of war crimes to not only come up, but dominate the news cycle. Everyone is quick to find fault with Israel, despite it doing more than any other nation in the world to avoid civilian casualties.

Enemies like Hamas rely on the public and even the mainstream media having only a shallow knowledge of the so-called “rules of war,” just enough to level charges against Israel. And Hamas’s hopes in this regard are not misplaced.

But a closer, more honest look at international law, in particular the Geneva Conventions, reveals that Israel has not committed any blatant crimes. More than that, the countries pointing a finger at Israel might themselves be guilty of a war crime in regards to the conflict with Hamas.

There are a lot of accusations against Israel, so we’ll just take the biggest and most obvious one – that Israel intentionally bombs “protected areas” like hospitals, and thus deliberately harms the civilian population in Gaza.
