MembersWe have deceived ourselves

We in Israel have all deluded ourselves. We vainly believed that we could ‘manage’ the conflict and solve every problem by our own wisdom.

Israel has fantasized for decades that if we accommodate them, the Palestinians will also accommodate us. We looked through rose-colored glasses and told ourselves that their hearts would open and peoples would come closer to one another. But we deceived ourselves. In the years following the failed Oslo Accords in 1993, the penny gradually dropped. Why do we tell ourselves falsehoods? We do this because we shy away from war. Yet in the Bible, God tells us not to be afraid of wars, for “He is a great and terrible God, who fights for Israel.” Israel must stop lying to itself.

As a reminder: The Oslo Accords were supposed to be completed within five years, ie. by 1998. That’s how Israel envisioned it, but everything has gone wrong since then. Israel imagined that in return for giving land to the Palestinians, it would receive peace, or at least security. But our enemies grew hungrier and demanded more and more from Israel. Since then, Israel’s governments have become increasingly convinced that the Jewish state must constantly feed the Palestinians, be it the...

Very profound. This dilemma has been coming since day one, delaying has only caused more pain and suffering. This isn’t even close to being resolved. Can it be resolved? I think not. It’ll be ugly till the end and the end may be soon. We see the western powers secumming to the satans sceam; destroy God’s portion. They (we goy) have written or own epitaph. It was all fortold, long, long ago.
    Bo Yeshua.

So, now you know how to do it the wrong way. The solution? Do it the Lords way, what other choice do you have?

An insightful and helpful article Aviel. Some of us here in Australia are “Praying for the peace of Jerusalem” Psalm 122:6. We pray for wisdom, courage, and boldness for Prime Minister Netanyahu and government and the Jewish people. We pray many will grow in faith in Jesus Christ in this time and that others will turn to Jesus (Yeshua) – both Jews and Arabs – in genuine repentance and faith during this time of crisis

Some of us are gathering together to pray that Yahweh will reveal His powerful arm and thwart the enemy . “Keep persevering with the journey set out before us looking unto Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith” Hebrews 12:2.

How true:”We vainly believed that we could ‘manage’ the conflict and solve every problem by our own wisdom.”
I happened to be meditating on Psalm 80 which near the end says: “Revive us, and we will call on Your Name.” More and more it looks like only the Lord can intervene and bring Salvation and shalom to the people/ land.

As an American Christian, I fully support providing all the military support Israel requires with the only preface to Israel being to ensure you’re in God’s will through Jesus with your actions.

America also needs to do the same.
