While the announcement of the Israel-UAE normalization agreement was welcomed in international circles, it was harshly criticized by Iran and Turkey, despite the fat that Ankara has for decades enjoyed full diplomatic relations with Jerusalem.

UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Anwar Gargash, in an article published in the British newspaper The Telegraph, affirmed that the agreement is an important step forward for the region that continues to repeat Palestinian rights, while reducing the threat of a violent escalation between Israel and the Palestinians.

 

The Abraham Accord will rebuild confidence

Contrary to what Iran and Turkey are saying, the agreement will serve to rebuild confidence between all parties. This is especially true given that previously all regional relations with Israel were seen only through the lens of the Arab-Israeli conflict, which is really an Islamic-Jewish conflict, giving rise only to violence and extremism that also greatly harmed the Arab world and the West.
