We present another in a series of inspiring stories of Zionist Christians from around the world. Get ready to be encouraged.

Jane Bakewell is a longtime friend with two of our writers at Israel Today, and we realized her story could further edify Bible-believers who are engaged with what God is doing in and through the Jewish state.

 

Israel Today: You live in a Caribbean paradise. Why then visit Israel so frequently and for such extended periods of time?

Jane: I consider Israel one of my three homes, that I refer to as the “Golden Triangle,” comprising the British Virgin Islands, where I am now a citizen, the Adirondacks in upstate New York, where my family has had a summer home now into seven generations, and Israel/Jerusalem, which I cannot forget because I don’t want “my tongue to cleave permanently to the roof of my mouth” (Psalm 137:6).

My draw to Israel is both relational and spiritual. I was a part of a Messianic congregation in Maryland in the 1980s...
