The ultra-Orthodox Jewish group “Chabad” is undertaking a very unorthodox, unexpected attempt to influence the conflict here in Israel.
They are addressing Muslims in Arabic urging them to change their ways and follow the 7 “Noahide” commandments. The rabbinic sages derived these 7 laws from Genesis, especially chapter 9. For nearly 2,000 years rabbis have seen them as a minimum standard incumbent upon Gentiles, since all men are descended from Noah. (See also Acts 15:20)
As part of the war effort, Chabad is “evangelizing” by website 7for70.com, by pasting posters in Arabic in places where Muslims will read them, and by posting videos in Arabic on a YouTube channel.

Yes, Chabad is to be commended for sharing the 7 Noahide commandments in Arabic. I pray for the Middle East for a powerful recognition of Christ Jesus, such as what happened at Sychar in Samaria, when the residents said, “Now we believe..for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.” (John 4:39-42)
