There are many reasons why the current situation in the Gaza Strip cannot persist. On one hand, the international response to images from Gaza and allegations of deliberate starvation makes the situation unsustainable in the long term. International pressure on Israel has noticeably intensified in recent months. Additionally, the US administration is unwilling to accept the current stalemate—it openly contradicts President Donald Trump’s promises to achieve peace, end the war in Gaza, and bring the hostages home.

For Israel itself, the status quo is untenable for several reasons: The Israeli public will not tolerate further stagnation—neither are hostages being freed, nor are there significant military successes, while young Israeli soldiers continue to be injured or killed. The government is aware that the benefits of the current strategy are diminishing. The longer the stalemate persists, the greater the risk of errors—both in terms of civilian casualties on the Palestinian side and Israeli losses.     This is exactly why we need to call on Hashem in prayer to bring an end to this, for he is the only one who knows everything that’s going on, and has the power to bring it to a satisfactory conclusion according to his will, in fulfilment of his prophecies !
