Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to travel to Mar-a-Lago for a pivotal summit with U.S. President Donald Trump, with far-reaching security and foreign-policy decisions on the agenda.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to depart early Sunday morning aboard the “Wing of Zion” for an important diplomatic summit with Donald Trump. The purpose of the trip is to discuss a series of regional political and security issues and to reach decisions on all key matters on the agenda: Iran, Syria, Lebanon, the disarmament of Hamas, the transition to the second phase of the ceasefire plan, and additional issues.

The aircraft is expected to make a refueling stop en route to Florida, possibly at Andrews Air Force Base near Washington. The schedule has not yet been finalized. What is known is that the meeting with Trump in Mar-a-Lago will take place on Monday. A second meeting has not yet been scheduled but is considered likely. The planned trilateral summit between Netanyahu, Trump, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has been canceled. The Egyptian president is not expected to travel to Florida, apparently out of concern that a joint photograph with Netanyahu could harm him domestically.
