The terrorist who brought Noa Argamani into the Gaza Strip on a motorcycle during the Hamas massacre on October 7, 2023, has been killed, according to Israeli officials. Saher Sakr was struck in strikes on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. An Israeli military spokesperson confirmed his death.
The footage of Argamani’s abduction was among the most iconic images of October 7. The video shows the then 26-year-old sitting on the motorcycle, attempting to reach her then-partner Avinatan Or, who was taken to Gaza separately from her.

Footage Brought Abduction to World’s Attention
Sakr is believed to have been among the men who brought Argamani from the Nova music event in southern Israel to Gaza during the attack. The images of the abduction spread worldwide and became a symbol of the fate of the Israeli hostages.
Argamani subsequently spent eight months in captivity. On June 8, 2024, she was rescued along with Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov and Shlomi Ziv during the Israeli rescue operation “Arnon” in Nuseirat. Or remained in Gaza longer and was later also released.
According to the Israeli military, Sakr was not the only terrorist involved in the abduction. Other members of the terrorist group believed by Israeli authorities to have been involved in the kidnapping of Argamani and Or had already been killed previously.
Several Participants Already Killed
Last year, the military and Shin Bet, Israel’s domestic intelligence service, announced that they had identified and killed several terrorists responsible for abductions from the Nova Festival. Among them was Ahmad Ibrahim Rajab Sha’er, who according to Israeli officials was also directly involved in the abduction of Argamani and Or.
Ahmed Hussein Mohammed Kafina, a commander of the Hamas-allied Mujahideen Brigades, was also killed in an Israeli strike. The Israeli military stated that Kafina had helped plan the October 7 attack and had led or participated in the abduction of Argamani and Or.
With the killing of Sakr, another man has been eliminated whose involvement in one of the most widely known abductions of October 7 was documented by Israeli security authorities.
