The ceasefire is extremely fragile: the Hezbollah terrorist organization continues its drone attacks on Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon unabated, despite the US-mediated ceasefire that was extended by another 45 days in mid-May. Israel, for its part, continues to strike Hezbollah targets in Lebanon in order to preempt further attacks.
Since the Hamas massacre of October 7, 2023, a total of 948 Israeli soldiers have fallen on all fronts.
