A major scandal involving King Abdullah II of Jordan now threatens the stability of the Hashemite Kingdom. The crisis could also have consequences for the peace with Israel, which, although very cold, made the long border with Jordan currently the most peaceful for the Jewish state.

Jordan is and will remain an important country for Israel. The border with Jordan is about 400 kilometers long and is almost always calm, something of enormous importance to Israel.

In addition, stability in Jordan is also important for Israel because instability in neighboring countries has always led to the rise of radical Islamic groups. These groups, excluding the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and Jordan, then resorted to terror to threaten Israel.
