Normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia has already begun, albeit unofficially, and the Iranian axis won’t be able to derail the process.

The normalization process between Israel and Saudi Arabia is apparently going more smoothly than was thought possible a few weeks ago.

This, despite attempts by Iran to derail the process via it’s proxy Hamas that invaded Israel on Saturday morning.

Iran had warned Saudi Arabia last week “not to bet on the wrong horse.”

There were two reasons why there was initially pessimism about the normalisation attempts.

First, there was the fact that the Palestinian Authority was brought into the negotiation process.

In September, a PA delegation visited Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, and submitted a list of conditions that Israel had to meet if the PA would agree to a normalization treaty.

The PA delegation included Yasser Abbas, the son of the current leader of the Palestinian Authority, and this was an indication that Ramallah believed it had a strong position in the negotiation process.
