
The new Netanyahu-Gantz government was finally sworn in and embarked on its journey a few days ago. Now the nation is focusing on a number of issues that the government must discuss and decide. One of the important issues for Israel’s security is the unilateral annexation of parts of the Judea and Samaria area, and the Jordan Valley north of the Dead Sea, as expressed in the coalition agreement.
That agreement states that:
“The prime minister and the alternate prime minister will act in full agreement with the United States, including with regard to maps while maintaining international dialogue on the subject; all this while striving to safeguard the security and strategic interests of the State of Israel, including the need to maintain regional stability, maintain peace agreements and strive for future peace agreements.”
