
We constantly hear the Palestinians complaining that Jews intend to take over the Temple Mount and build a Third Temple, yet all these allegations are utterly groundless with the only aim being to inflame the region and create an opportunity to beg financial support from Arab countries or naïve Europeans.
This dangerous, yet effective propaganda strategy concerning Jerusalem began way back in late 1920s by Haj Amin al-Husseini, the so-called “Grand Mufti of Palestine,” and continues to get traction today. “Al-Aqsa is in danger” is their slogan shrieked ad nauseum every time an Israeli personality visits and prays, during archaeological excavations, and even when Israel makes repairs to the Western Wall or anywhere near the Temple Mount.
“Israel intends to destroy the Temple Mount,” the Palestinians cry, “and build the Third Temple on the ruins of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Danger, danger, danger,” they say.
