The open-air electronic music concert and laser show is billed to raise awareness about the environmental hazards that are causing the Dead Sea to dry up. According to scientific studies, if conditions do not change, the salt lake could be completely dry in 35 years.

Jarre is well known for his massive stage performances. More than 2 million watched his live spectacle in Paris for the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution. A few years later, 3.5 million saw his triumphant performance Oxygen in Moscow, and in Houston, Jarre played before 1.3 million NASA fans. He also appeared at the Pyramids of Giza before 800,000 and was the first Western musician to perform after the death of Mao Tse-tung in Beijing and Shanghai.

The popular artist has sold over 80 million records worldwide. In Israel, his sound and light spectacle will take place against the magnificent backdrop of desert cliffs and the Dead Sea.
