More than a thousand senior Evangelical Christian pastors and influencers took part over the past week in the historic Ambassadors Summit led by Dr. Mike Evans and supported by Israel’s Foreign Ministry. The leaders concluded their visit to Israel and returned to the United States, only to find themselves flooded with coordinated attacks, false information, and antisemitic conspiracy theories. This was the largest delegation of American Christian leaders and influencers to visit Israel since the state’s founding.
During their stay, the delegation met with top Israeli officials, including the President Isaac Herzog, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar (who called Christian support for Israel “vital”), Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, and senior political and security figures. They received strategic briefings on various fronts, met freed hostages and Nova festival survivors, bereaved families, held mass prayers for Israel (including with the Rabbi of the Western Wall), and participated in major solidarity events in Jerusalem and ancient Shiloh that were broadcast live to more than 150 million people. Delegates received tools to represent Israel effectively within their communities and on US campuses.

Less than 24 hours after returning home, many of the leaders found their social media accounts flooded with hostile, repetitive messages with identical phrasing—raising suspicions of a coordinated international campaign.
Fox News host Mark Levin addressed the attacks, saying that the massive Evangelical community in the US is well aware of what he called the “woke Reich” and is outraged by the campaign targeting Christians who openly support Israel. His comments came as tens of millions of users were exposed to misleading narratives spreading online about the delegation.
Dr. Evans, founder of the Friends of Zion Museum and initiator of the Ambassadors Summit, said the nature of the attacks points to two main possibilities: a bot network powered by AI, likely backed by Qatar, or the global influence of antisemitic messaging from Tucker Carlson, among others. Evans issued a brief response but quickly asked Huckabee to record a video addressing the main accusations leveled against the Christian leaders.
Evans told Huckabee: “People are attacking the leaders who just came back from Israel with these questions. If you could record a video responding to them, I’ll send it directly to all 1,000 leaders.”
The main accusations circulated online and the factual responses prepared for the delegation:
-
“Israel is committing genocide.”
Israel is acting in self-defense against a terrorist group targeting civilians. Genocide requires intent to annihilate a people. Israel has no such intent and takes extensive measures to protect civilians. -
“Israel attacked Qatar without cause or justification.”
Israel did not attack Qatar. The action targeted senior Hamas leaders orchestrating major terror operations from within Qatar. It was a legal act of self-defense against Hamas leadership, not Qatar itself. -
“Palestine deserves immediate recognition as a state.”
Israel supports a future of two states based on security, mutual recognition, and agreements. Statehood cannot be granted to a body led by a terror organization committed to Israel’s destruction. -
“Palestinians have a legal right to the disputed territories.”
These areas are defined as “disputed” under international law. Borders must be determined through direct negotiations. Israel has shown willingness to compromise—provided its security is guaranteed. -
“Israel assassinated Charlie Kirk.”
This is an entirely baseless conspiracy. There is no evidence to support the claim. (See: Charlie Kirk’s murder hit the Jewish world hard) -
“You can criticize Israel without being antisemitic.”
True. Criticism of any government is legitimate. Antisemitism begins when criticism includes double standards, demonization, or denial of the Jewish people’s right to self-determination. -
“Israel blackmails the US government with Epstein files.”
This is an unfounded accusation, repeating old antisemitic myths. -
“There’s no strategic reason for the US to support Israel.”
Israel is the US’s most reliable ally in the Middle East. Political, intelligence, and tech cooperation directly bolster American security.
Despite the wave of attacks, many leaders who participated in the Friends of Zion Ambassadors Summit expressed renewed determination to stand with Israel and confront misinformation in their communities.
Dr. Evans emphasized that the attacks would not derail the conference’s mission: “The delegation came to Israel with open hearts and a shared purpose. No coordinated digital campaign will silence those who seek to speak the truth.”
