An IDF reservist officer was stabbed and wounded on Sunday morning in a continuation of the Palestinian knife terrorism that renewed in a flurry of five additional attacks over the weekend.
The attack took place in the large Judean town of Efrat, where the terrorist managed to moderately injure the Israeli officer before being shot and wounded by other nearby soldiers.
Both the victim and the terrorist were taken for treatment to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.
Security cameras show the terrorist approaching Efrat already at 2 AM. Several army patrols were sent out to search for possible suspicious figures. Around 6 AM, the officer in question found the terrorist hiding in a bush and was immediately attacked.
A spokesman for the town offered his thanks to the soldiers who put their own lives at risk to ensure the terrorist could not perpetrate greater bloodshed against local residents.
