What once sounded like a simple instruction to protect the weak is now proving to be the key to understanding geopolitics. For the current conflicts between Iran, Israel, the United States, and the rest of the West often revolve precisely around this: Who exploits ignorance? Who keeps entire populations dependent? Who deliberately places obstacles in the way of others—militarily, ideologically, or politically?

The Middle East is shaped not only by missiles, sanctions, and terrorist networks, but also by manipulation, turning a blind eye, and the abuse of power. Therefore, scripture poses an uncomfortable question to our time: Who are the blind today, and who are those who see but still place stumbling blocks?
