Israel has had no choice but to itself fight Palestinian terror since the Oslo Accords of 1993, even though that and subsequent agreements made with PLO leader Yasser Arafat obligated the Palestinians to clean up their own mess. The Islamist Muslim Brotherhood has issued a religious fatwa against the security forces of the Palestinian Authority (PA). This decree calls on the Palestinian public to support the terrorist groups in their fight against the official PA leadership in Jenin. “It is a duty to fight the PA security forces because they constantly cooperate with the occupiers, spy for them and pursue their goals,” according to the fatwa, which was signed by Muslim scholars from Morocco, Yemen, Libya, Algeria, Eritrea and other countries. The Palestinian population was called to an uprising – an intifada – against the PA. The result: chaos.
