Qatar’s state-funded Al Jazeera network is using its digital subsidiaries to shape how young Americans understand Israel, Gaza, and the broader Middle East, according to public records and media monitoring of the network’s online platforms.
At the center of that effort is AJ+, Al Jazeera’s social-first video brand, launched in 2014 to reach younger audiences on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and X. The project was built for short, shareable, activist-style content, often framing Israel through the language of colonialism, oppression, and human rights abuse.
The network presents itself as independent journalism. But the US Justice Department concluded in 2020 that AJ+ was required to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, finding that Al Jazeera Media Network was controlled and funded by Qatar and that AJ+ engaged in political activity in the United States on behalf of a foreign principal.
The designation placed the platform in a category closer to foreign influence activity than ordinary domestic media. For critics, that distinction is central: AJ+ is not merely another online news outlet competing for clicks, but part of a state-backed communications system financed by one of the world’s wealthiest governments.
Qatar has invested heavily in global influence through media, education, diplomacy, and cultural institutions. AJ+ was reported at launch to have a budget likely in the millions of dollars, while Doha’s wider American influence network, including university partnerships and public diplomacy efforts, has involved far larger sums over the years.
The Israel issue remains one of the network’s most consistent themes. AJ+ content frequently centers Palestinian narratives, accuses Israel of systemic abuse, and gives limited attention to Hamas terrorism, the Oct. 7 massacre, or Iran-backed armed groups that shape the conflict.
The platform has also faced controversy. In 2019, Al Jazeera suspended two AJ+ employees after an Arabic-language video suggested Jews had exaggerated the Holocaust’s scale, prompting international condemnation.
The result is a powerful and deceptive media pipeline: Qatari-funded messaging, packaged for Western progressives, delivered directly into the phones of American students.

The indoctrination of the American children began in the late 60’s by teachers who were in rebellion against the Vietnam war. Those protestors helped in every way to kill more Americans and keep the war going in favor of the democrat party. The indoctrination started in earnest from there.
The NEA has been all about indoctrination ever since, The anti-American and anti-Jewish agenda of the left has borne its fruit, and now the US is ripe as our enemies begin to swoop in for the picking.
Sadly, there are many teachers and professors who were Christians and did not see the truth of what they were teaching, who will be guilty of sending their students into the lake of fire, sad, but true.
Seeing the division in Israel today, makes me wonder if the same thing has been going on in Israel. Those on the left are only loyal to themselves and whoever pays them. When the Lord revives Israel, there will be no one representing the left anywhere to be found. The Lord has His sheep on His right side, the goats are on the left, who do they belong to?
