The Bible is an accurate historical document. This has been demonstrated on numerous occasions thanks to modern archaeological research. And experts are doing it again with the help of geomagnetic fields.
Burnt remains from besieged and overwhelmed cities contain important geomagnetic data that can now be used to reconstruct the direction and/or intensity of the Earth’s magnetic field at the time of the catastrophic event.
All across Israel, researchers from Tel Aviv University and Hebrew University were able to use this method to verify biblical accounts of important city battles, such as the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem.
They were also able to offer more accurate dating for other battles the dates of which experts disagreed.
