Of course, everyone instinctively wants a ceasefire. Peace. But this ceasefire was forced upon us.

How did Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu justify the ceasefire in Lebanon? Two days ago, Netanyahu explained his decision to agree to a ceasefire in Lebanon: “There have recently been significant delays in the delivery of weapons and equipment. These delays will soon be resolved, and Israel will equip itself with advanced weapons that will protect soldiers’ lives and enhance our firepower to complete our missions successfully.” This is the main reason behind the ceasefire. Now, immediately following the ceasefire, the poor state of Israel’s air force is becoming evident. Israel faces the urgent task of restoring its military capabilities through massive new acquisitions.

In other words, if Israel had sufficient weapons, missiles, ammunition, and new equipment, and were not burdened by an arms embargo, it would be fully capable and ready to decisively eliminate the Shiite terror militia Hezbollah once and for all. Israel places significant hope in cooperation with the future Trump administration, not only to secure munitions supplies but also to expedite the purchase of new fighter jets, refueling aircraft, and transport helicopters.
