MembersThe EU – Playing With Nuclear Fire

God is merciful. Were He to withhold His mercy, the consequences for the nations that are willing to render Israel vulnerable to an Iranian nuclear attack could be more terrifying than we can imagine.

On August the 8, two seemingly unrelated events occurred that should, I sense, have Christians prayerfully alert:

  1. The European Union – acting also on behalf of the United States – announced that it had finalised its efforts to bring Iran back into the 2015 nuclear agreement. The Iranians are boasting of the many concessions that they won in the talks.
  2. The United Nations sounded a stark warning of a potentially catastrophic nuclear disaster after the Zaporizhzhia power station, Europe’s largest atomic energy plant, was damaged in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

 

Event #1 relates to the international community’s dealings with Israel.
