For many people, Trump’s decision to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem was equally insane. Even crazier is the timetable – by the end of May, right as Israel is celebrating the 70th anniversary of her modern rebirth, the Americans will land in Jerusalem. For those who subscribe to a politically-correct worldview, the American president is not only making a fool of himself, he is being described by many US and European media outlets as certifiably unstable, a danger to the rest of the world.
Of course, from the Israeli perspective, Trump’s bold move wasn’t crazy at all. Rather, it was a courageous step toward acknowledging the truth and putting the peace process back on a genuinely solid foundation.
