MembersWhat’s the difference between Antony Blinken and the Rabshakeh?

The US Secretary of State has visited Israel countless times to force her to align with American policy. 2,800 years ago, the Assyrian foreign minister was in the land doing the same thing. Everyone wants to use tiny Israel for their purposes.

The past year has left Israel feeling that relying on allies brings no blessing. The American president made it clear to his ally in the Middle East that there would be no more arms supply if Israel completed the destruction of Hamas in Rafah. This is a political calculation, as Joe Biden has no choice but to abandon his partner if his party wants to win the upcoming November elections. His voters in the Democratic camp are unhappy with the US arming Israel. Political interest forces the leader of the American superpower to neglect his longtime ally.

In a passionate speech, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said during a hearing regarding Biden’s halt of arms shipments that it sends the wrong signal to Israel, which is “in an existential fight with its enemies. Israel has been attacked by Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas, all dedicated to its destruction. And you’re going to tell them how to conduct the war, what they can use, and what they can’t, when everyone around them wants to kill all the Jews? That’s obscene. It’s...

  1. Vernon Ryan says:

Since the end of WWII, the democrat policies have been to not win wars, because there is wealth and power to be gained. They care nothing of the military lives lost nor the lives of civilians, women or children, especially the children. The only thing they care about when it comes to Jews, is their wealth and how much of it they can get their hands on. You would have thought by now, those American Jews would have figured that out, sad thing.

  2. Lois Heal Bright says:

Quote: “The angel of the Lord went out and killed 185,000 in the Assyrian camp, and the attack was called off.”

In the story, God acted on behalf of His people and sent an angel to deal with Israel’s enemies.

This angel was a created being, like Michael or Gabriel. But the Angel of the Lord is spoken of in Exodus 23:21-23, saying, “Be aware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him. But if you indeed obey His voice..I will be an enemy to your enemies…For My Angel will go before you..”

This is the Angel that Israel needs now. He is the One in whom is God’s name, telling us: “God, who..spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son…who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.” (Hebrews 1:1-3)

The great dangers which face Israel today are so severe. May all see that the Lord Jesus is the only source of authority and power to truly bring deliverance to the land. God loves the people of Israel and wants t0 respond to their earnest call.
