Jewish people – hated by the world but loved by Jesus!
Shavuot
This week is Pentecost/Shavuot/The Feast of Weeks.

Arabic message in tongues confirms calling for Jewish vicar.
Gentiles and Jews gather to pray for a Holy Spirit outpouring.
As we approach the biblical festival of Shavuot, when the Book of Ruth is read, we’re reminded of its profound human and spiritual depth.
Shavuot is the one high holy day that draws religious and secular alike, so connected as it is with the success of Israel’s modern rebirth.
Let us go up to Zion this Shavuot together. Our LORD wants to heal our wounds and show us the way home.
This Shavuot, I give thanks for the space that allows us room to grow, and for the opportunity to learn about “emptying” in order to be filled.
Why we need the transformative power of Pentecost.
