Somaliland’s president tells Israel Today that an Israeli and American military presence could increase stability in the region. His country is also ready to join the Abraham Accords and send soldiers to an international stabilization force in the Gaza Strip.
The burgeoning relationship between Somaliland proves that the Jewish state is not hated and isolated in the region, despite the neighboring cluster of authoritarian states insisting otherwise.
“Somaliland’s history will be divided in two: the history before recognition and the history after recognition by Israel,” Bashir Goth told JNS.
While the Western world was still lingering in the quiet post-Christmas period, Israel created facts that reach far beyond the Horn of Africa.
