God speaks to me in my dreams. Many readers would cringe reading this and think: “Is she saying that her crazy, rich-in-symbolism, color-saturated dreams mean something?” – Yes. And then: “God speaks to her? Who does she think she is?!”
But I do hear from God, and I would argue that you can too.
Since the beginning of time, God has used dreams and visions to speak to great and ordinary people alike.
The first dream example recorded in the Bible was when Abraham was shown the devastating future of his descendants (Genesis 15); skip ahead to Joseph, whose gifting for dream interpretation saved nations (Genesis 37-41), and the Prophet Daniel who could tell King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream by way of divine revelation (Daniel 2).
God also spoke through a dream to save Jesus’ life when an angel appeared to his father Joseph with a warning, urging him to flee to Egypt with his wife and child.
