After his recent successful visit to Sudan, Israeli Minister of Intelligence Eli Cohen returned to another Arab country, Egypt, this time for a longer visit.

Relations with Egypt have been thawing recently. On February 21, Egyptian Energy Minister Tariq al-Mulla paid a visit to Israel. This is the first public, open visit by an Egyptian minister to Israel in a long time. The stated purpose was to explore collaborations in the field of energy. It should be noted that Israel currently sells natural gas to Egypt. In the past Israel purchased gas from Egypt.
