Israel is a tiny country. On a world map, you almost have to search for it. Around ten million people live on a narrow strip of land between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River. And yet in 2026, one sometimes gets the impression that a remarkably large portion of global politics revolves around precisely this patch of biblical earth. Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, Yemen, the Red Sea, the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab — Israel appears directly or indirectly everywhere. The United States is being drawn in, Europe is taking positions, Arab states must realign their alliances, trade routes are coming under pressure, and energy prices are responding to military developments in the Middle East. On one hand, Israel is too small to dominate the world — and yet suddenly large enough to shake it.
A war waged thousands of kilometers from Europe can suddenly drive up the cost of gasoline, electricity, plane tickets, and goods. And at some point, the ordinary citizen in Berlin, London, or Paris asks: What does this eternal conflict actually have to do with my...

It is fairly easy to see why Israel lies in the sights of the world, it is where the God of creation has written His name. The world wants to erase it any way they can, and they will try. But the world has not read His book, those who have and place their hand in His, already know the end of the book and who will still be living in the land when the end of the present age comes.
But … the explanation for why Israel is fighting would actually be very simple. If only we were brave enough.
If Israel does not win this war completely, then war and death will come to Europe as well. And the killing of Jews will become a “sport” worldwide.
The U.S. and China cannot want that, because then oil prices—and much more—will be dictated to them. While the war won’t reach them directly, the disadvantages are considerable.
This, too, must be said: Israel and the Jewish people are not only the driving force behind Western civilization, but also its shield. Without us Jews, without Israel, the world would again become a hellish place, with oppression, poverty, slavery, and even human sacrifices. It was our G*d who laid the foundation for these prohibitions and developments—not the gods of other peoples.
Sure, Netanyahu is seeking many alliances outside of Europe. Good! But he isn’t making Israel’s global role clear to the West. Or at least not enough. Nor is he making clear the consequences.
After all, who would believe that a U.S. defeat in the Middle East and the annihilation of Israel would make oil prices cheaper? That would be nonsense.
Right?
Here’s what I think: Israel must become bolder. Jews must become bolder. They must completely reject the role of victims. They must truly think “biblically”: “I am HIS child, and HE stands by my side.” But not on the path to death, rather on the path to victory—to leading this world since 3000 years.
If we don’t do it, no one else will. And the world will fall into darkness and ruin.
