
During the previous holiday season I had the idea to create a kind of “surprise” bread rolls. The company I worked for had provided a special baking tray for experimentation, and my kids couldn’t have been more pleased. Whether I prepared the bread with fresh or processed cheese, they didn’t care. It was delicious either way.
Chef Yagil’s Tips:
• I used a baking tray with 24 small indentations, but any baking tray is suitable.
• I prepared the oil mixture ahead of time so that everything is ready to go as soon as the dough is ready.
• Almost any kind of cheese will do.
Ingredients for the rolls:
500g flour
1 tbsp dry yeast
1 egg
1/2 cup olive oil
2 tbsp of sugar
2 cups of lukewarm water
3/4 cup basil and rosemary leaves, chopped small
1/2 head of garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon coarse salt
