During the previous holiday season I had the idea to create a kind of “surprise” bread rolls. The company I worked for had provided a special baking tray for experimentation, and my kids couldn’t have been more pleased. Whether I prepared the bread with fresh or processed cheese, they didn’t care. It was delicious either way.

Chef Yagil’s Tips:

• I used a baking tray with 24 small indentations, but any baking tray is suitable.

• I prepared the oil mixture ahead of time so that everything is ready to go as soon as the dough is ready.

• Almost any kind of cheese will do.

Ingredients for the rolls:

500g flour

1 tbsp dry yeast

1 egg

1/2 cup olive oil

2 tbsp of sugar

2 cups of lukewarm water

3/4 cup basil and rosemary leaves, chopped small

1/2 head of garlic, crushed

1 teaspoon coarse salt

1/2 cup olive oil Cheese cubes cut according to the size of the tray indentations
