We tend to waste energy trying to make others share our views. Maybe you thought the hallway outside your apartment smelled deliciously of vegetable soup, while the person with you insisted it stank terribly. Which dress is the most beautiful and best suited for a wedding? Which perfume has the finest scent?

Who’s right? Is there always a final, definitive answer? If you ask three people, you’ll probably get three different answers. No matter how hard we try, we won’t succeed in convincing the other person.
