MembersTachles with Aviel – A house divided against itself

Israel is today facing a test—politically, socially, and religiously. Two days ago, we resumed the war in Gaza, and today we are fighting each other in the streets of Jerusalem.

It is simply unbelievable how the people keep falling into the same trap. We waste time and energy and play into the hands of our enemies. It doesn’t matter whether the government is right, the protesters, the families of the hostages, the religious right, or whoever among the left or other opinion groups—this is unnecessary and weakens the nation. Some fully support Netanyahu’s right-wing government and say hallelujah and amen to every government decision. Others criticize everything the government decides. No factual discussion helps to create a bridge between the two shores. Each side is stuck in its political and spiritual dead end. Some hate Bibi and his religious right-wing coalition, and others hate everyone who hates Bibi and his ultra-religious coalition partners.

Israel today faces one of its greatest internal challenges: political trench warfare, social tensions, and religious discord dominate. The Gaza war continues. Excellent! You hit on every needed point. “How can two walk together unless they agree?” Within the Scripture
lies every answer. HaShem is looking to be lifted up. “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men to me!”

So far, everyone is looking for an earthly king to be the Savior. It will NOT happen!

It is a shame to see the left in Israel using the hostages the same way Hamas is for the purpose of personal gain in wealth and power. Deceiving the families of the hostages into joining them to try to gain the emotional fight to overthrow the present government is helping Hamas in every way possible, totally shameful.
The Israeli government is right in its move against Hamas now, if the protestors succeeded they would be helping Hamas to win. Hamas winning would see the hostages killed as a means to exalt themselves. It is too bad those Israeli’s joining the left can’t see that far ahead of the current day.

Discussion, and entertaining various theories and views is healthy, this can be called being academic, or open minded.

However, insisting on everyone doing things your way, and being intolerant of other opinions, or traditions, is called ‘narrow minded, and is self centred arrogance. This is destructive, and dishonouring to HaShem, in other words it is sinful !
