Israel is backing the plan and its effort to bypass the UN and prevent aid from being stolen by Hamas.

At the start of his captivity, Edan Alexander was severely tortured and beaten, according to his family. Some of his wounds from that period are still visible.

“We are on a very hard journey that doesn’t end,” said Ruhama Bohbot, whose son Elkana was taken captive on Oct. 7, 2023, and has now been a hostage for more than 580 days.

“We really need to implement what Trump told us to do,” says Israel’s national security minister.

“Humanitarian aid should not have been allowed to enter since the start of the war, as long as our hostages are rotting in Hamas’s tunnels.”

“The hardships you endured were severe, and yet you radiate strength and resilience that deserves deep respect,” said Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir.

An overwhelming majority of respondents oppose the terrorist group’s disarmament as a precondition for ending the war.

“Unlike in the past, the IDF will remain in every area that is conquered in Gaza, to prevent the return of terrorism,” a security source says.
