A strategic shift will squeeze Hamas, and hopefully, lead to the return of hostages and end of the terror group.

Government officials say the plan includes “occupation” of parts of Gaza, and a new approach to humanitarian aid.

While the desire to separate from Gaza was “logical,” the disengagement itself led to Hamas’s takeover of the Strip.

Hamas has looted at least 60% of the aid that Israel allowed to enter Gaza, the Shin Bet revealed last year.

“The Arabic service, we are looking at it. We’ve been examining it,” said BBC Chairman Samir Shah.

“A whole worldview led the chief of the Shin Bet to interpret accumulating signs of the gathering storm exactly backwards.”
